AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): On yet another blow Tripura Police Special Branch (SB) recently detained one Bangladeshi from Agartala airport suspected him to be involved in illegal activities. He was identified as Bellal Miah (27) of Bangladesh Comilla District.
Agartala airport police station’s police on Wednesday informed, “The Bangladeshi was detained while he was preparing to fly to Kolkata from Agartala.” Adding to that police informed, “When the concerned CISF staffs were checking documents of the Bangladeshi youth he was found having duplicate passport with which he managed to reach Agartala airport with an intention to fly Kolkata.”
Police said, “Later getting formation the SB officers rushed to the spot and brought him to the SB office for interrogation.”
During the preliminary investigation police suspected him to be involved to illegal activities. Bangladeshi youth Bellal Miah was found resided at Udaipur Kakrabon area for the past two months.
Detained Bellal Miah managed to collect a duplicate passport with which he was looking forward to fly Kolkata to make his VISA, Police said to TIWN on Wednesday.
However besides, another youth was also detained by the police after he was found brought Bellal Miah from Udaipur to Agartala airport. Police also recovered one SIM card from detained Bellal Miah’s bag which he was carrying with him.
Both the accused were produced before the court on Wednesday, said police. The court send them for seven days police remand on Wednesday.
It is worthy to mention that earlier on Monday night Khowai police detained two Bangladeshis from Khowai bridge area with no passports. They had illegally entered Tripura crossing the border area.
