AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): On yet another order for the Tripura auto-rickshaw drivers, the Tripura High Court (HC) recently asked the Tripura Left front Government to allot badges and separate uniform for the auto-drivers. The court had also asked to frame point to point fares for the passengers. However the petition was filed in the court against the State Transport Department and State Govt. following the negligence role of the State Govt. in regard of framing a point to point rate chart. It is worthy to mention here that following the early order from the court the State Govt. had decided to frame a rate chart and later it was implemented on every three wheeler, but the State Transport Department had failed to install a point to point fare chart, following which the auto-drivers managed to charge high fare from the passengers.Resentment is brewing among the passengers travel from different parts of the capital city Agartala as most of the auto-rickshaw drivers continuing to charge high fares from passengers due to the negligence role of the state Govt., despite the fare chart had been fixed at every three wheelers, the unruly auto drivers are allegedly charging high fares.Earlier the Tripura HC via its order restricted to carry maximum passengers in three wheelers, but despite that a section of unruly drivers are used to carry more than three passengers and as a result the suffering prevails among the passengers.

However, recently following the early complaint and hearing the State Govt. the HC asked the petitioner to lodge a fresh complaint. Therefore recently hearing the fresh case the HC ordered the State Govt. to fix point to point rate chart and asked to allot separate uniform for the auto-drivers.

However, now though it’s the time to witness how the State Govt. and its transport Department as well as the traffic law take up the stock of the situation.
