AGARTALA June 10 (TIWN): The Tripura Joint Entrance Board will hold meeting regarding the counseling of the students who had achieved success in the TBJEE Exam-2015 on June 12. The Board headed by Chairman Surajit Chakraborty will also decide about the increase or decrease in seats allotted for the students in Engineering Degree Colleges, Medical Colleges, and other professional degree courses.
However, it may be guessed that the counseling will most probably held on June 21 or June 22. It may be recalled that Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) had announced its results on June 5.
Altogether, 4249 students had appeared in joint entrance examinations this year. Among them 2993 students had appeared from Physics, Chemistry and Math (PCM) group while 3831 candidates had appeared from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) group.
Sayan Rudra Paul stood first position in PCM while Anupravo Bhaumik secured first position in PCB group. The second positions in PCM and PCB groups were secured by Souhardhya Roy and Pranab Bhaumik respectively. Kushankur Datta and Shubhadip Chakraborty bagged third positions respectively.
Mashiga Debbarma secured top position in both PCM and PCB categories while he stood 50th rank in PCM and 15 th rank in PCB in common merit list. The first position from in PCM and PCB both categories were bagged by Suman Roy while he secured 7th position in PCM and 6th position in PCB groups in common merit list.
The Tripura joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges, Medical Colleges, and other professional degree courses. Born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges and Medical Colleges. The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
