Lack of adequate infrastructure leads to an obstacle to development

UDAIPUR, June 9 (TIWN): Lack of adequate infrastructure is an impediment to the development of the state health facilities. At an incident on Monday midnight a 43-year-old man was left injured when a ceiling fan all of a sudden collapsed over him resulting the outburst of the deplorable condition of the Gomati District Hospital.

Narrating the incident, injured Tazal Mia, a resident of Khilpara Area said that he came to the hospital for the treatment of his wife Shohena Biwi (35) as she was suffering from severe stomach pain. Noticing her situation the doctors immediately admitted her to the hospital. Tazal Mia stayed at the hospital to assist his wife.

Further he stated that at around 1am in the midnight when he switched-on the fan all of a sudden it collapsed over him. The doctors along with the medical staff made an immediate treatment. He said that if it would have been little late than he would have lost his life.

Tazal Mia, who is a car driver by profession on Tuesday made an oral complain to the R. K Pur Police Station.

As per report, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar laid the foundation stone in full-fledged for the development for health sector in the Gomati District in the year 2012. Therefore, the hospital which has started its service in the year 2014, in 1 year of duration started to crumple down slowly.

This incident raised questions about the quality of resources used during the construction of the building. Quality infrastructure is valuable in itself, enabling further development and allowing governments to achieve social, economic and political aims.

But this incident resulted in the outburst of the alleged use of poor quality of materials in the construction.

The patients have been facing problems including unavailability of drinking water, dirty atmosphere and inadequate visit of doctors at the Hospital. Lot of patients have been complaining of major inconvenience due to paucity of water.

Garnishing the lack of adequate infrastructure of Hospital the patients stressed on the 3 to 4 hour of prolonged load-shedding in the hospital creating chaos among the patients and delay in the treatment procedure.

Further they also said that within tenure of 1 year the plasters several cracks were shown up, raising questions on the quality of resources used during the construction of the building to mark it as development of the state.
