KAILASHAHAR, June 8 (TIWN): Addressing the crowd at Kailashahar College Stadium, Sport Minister Shahid Chowdhury spoke about the initiatives to be taken for the development of sports sector at Agartala; left the crowd unsatisfied and disappointed as he did not mention anything regarding the development of Kailashahar sports sector.

Bitterness brewed-up when nothing was mentioned by Sport Minister Shahid Chowdhury regarding the development of the sport sector in Kailashahar whereas he mentioned about the development to be done in various part of Sports sector of Agartala.

According to the report, Kailashahar lacks in proper swimming pool and play ground which discourages the upcoming sports lovers in the area. Evading the fact, Minister Shahid Chowdhury did not mention a single sentence in the improvement of the sports sector of the area. There are few lakes in the Kailashahar area but due to lack of proper initiatives taken to improve the sports sector the sports lovers are taking off their interest.

As a part of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan Rs. 230 crores will be spent to make the Dasarath Deb Stadium an International Standard Stadium and Rs. 250 crores for the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) Narsingarh Stadium which has added bitterness among the present crowd said Sport Minister Shahid Chowdhury.

During the programme, altogether 3.33 lakhs of sports goods were deployed among the various sports organization saying that the state lacks proper sports goods. He further stated that he will be urging to raise the MLA fund and District Parishad Panchayat Samiti fund for providing better sports goods to the organization.

However, the issue left a question that if the area lacks proper sports ground for the sports lovers than what is the purpose of deploying various sports goods among the organization.
