BELONIA, June 7 (TIWN): A 30-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Borpathori ADC Area under Belonia Police Station.

According to the complaint, the accused was identified as Narayan Sil (35), who has allegedly raped her in the nearby forest at Borpathori ADC Area on the Saturday night.

Narrating about the incident, the 30-year-old woman said that like any other day, on the Saturday evening, she went to the nearby jungle to collect wooden logs. She further stated that Narayan Sil who was a daily wage worker by profession was working there in the jungle.

When she was busy in collecting woods from the forest, the accused Narayan Sil suddenly grabbed her. The victim said that she tried to shout when accused Narayan Sil grabbed her but the accused stopped her saying if she shout then he will chopped off her head.

Frightened victim, having no other option had to listen him, while he carried out the heinous crime.

Later in the midnight she registered a case against accused Narayan Sil. Based on the compliant Police went to the accused Narayan Sil’s house but he managed to escape from the house.

Further, Officer In-Charge Mofru Mog of Belonia Women Police Station said that they are trying to arrest the culprit as soon as possible.

The victim has a six year old son and she lives without her husband.

The woman has been sent for medical examination and an FIR registered in the case.
