Khowai, June 6 (TIWN): In a tragic incident, two decomposed bodies of a couple were recovered from a deep jungle in hanging conditions from Dhollaichora village of Gaurangatilla, under Kalyanpur Police station on Friday late night.

The deceased are identified as Rashmoti Gour and Milan Sautal and both of them are at their 30’s.

Last night when bad odor spread in the village area from the jungle, the localities informed the Kalyanpur police station and after searching for hours in the jungle, the police recovered the decomposed the body in a hanging condition from the tree.

Reportedly, 5 days back both of them went out of their respective houses and married each other going against their families.  The deceased Rashmoti Gour was married to Subu Gour 10 years back and also has 2 sons.

After 10 years of their marriage, she married Milan Sautal as she was in a hush-hush affair with Milan Sautal for last 10years, said local resident.

The localities said that the society did not accept their marriage and isolated them from the village and asked them to leave in a bamboo made house inside the jungle and not to come near the village area.

Police said that the body was fully decomposed and was not in a condition to send for postmortem and unfortunately they dumped the body under the mud inside the jungle and ceased the spot.

Khowai DCM Kamal Debbarma also visited the spot and carried out the proper investigation in the area.

Primary investigation says that as the couple was isolated by the society they broke down emotionally and attempted suicide to kill themselves, said police personnel.

However, Kalyanpur Police is further investigating the case.
