AGARTALA / DHAKA, June 5 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes his proposed Bangladesh visit will enhance the ties between 2 countries, which will be beneficial to people of both the Nations,” he tweeted on Thursday. It is to be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken to twitter as he prepares for his first ever visit to Bangladesh on June 6-7.Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 10:30am on Saturday. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will receive him at the airport, and later both the leaders would hold bilateral talks in the afternoon.Modi will receive a state honour soon after his landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 10:30am on Saturday. Insiders saying nearly 20 Indo-Bangla joint agreements ranging from security cooperation to people to-people contacts would be signed during his 36-hour whirlwind visit that Dhaka believes would strengthen the friendly relations further. But the much-awaited Teesta water sharing deal would remain pending this time as the charismatic Modi has failed to convince his West Bengal state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to clear the agreement.

The river flows through that state. Indian Premier’s visit has been seen historical as it comes soon after resolving the 41-year old land boundary issues that confined more than 50,000 people as stateless in the enclaves both sides of the border.
Both leaders would discuss Teesta water issue during their meeting. Trade and connectivity would dominate his visit as two bus services connecting India with its hard-to-reach north-eastern states through Bangladesh would be flagged off during his visit.

Modi will end his visit on Sunday evening after a public speech before a vast audience, comprising politicians to teachers and students.
