Agartala,June 5 (TIWN): The Department of Higher Education, Government of Tripura has warned the students and parents against fake and unrecognized educational institutes.
The students and parents are advised to check official websites of the statutory bodies before getting admission into any educational institute offering courses in higher education, said Director Higher Education Dr. P. K . Goyal
He said that many innocent students fall prey to lure of some fake and unrecognized educational institutes/ universities within the country and abroad.
“It has been observed that a number of students are taking admissions in various institutions and universities within the country and abroad for pursuing higher studies in different fields. It has been learnt that some of these institutions aren’t recognized by the appropriate statutory bodies notified for the purpose by the Central Government. Such institutions, universities lure the innocent students by issuing misleading advertisements in various newspapers claiming recognition/ affiliations of some statutory bodies which may not always be correct. Taking admission or pursuing studies in such institutions/ universities may ruin the life of the students as the degrees awarded by them may not officially be recognized, leading to unnecessary wastage of time, money, energy and hope,” he said.
The students and their parents are warned not to be misled by such advertisements and education fair. They are requested to verify the authenticity of such institutions/ universities before taking admission in them through the official websites of the statutory bodies which recognize/ affiliate these institutions.
