 TBSE declares 2015 class-10 results : Gomati District secures highest percentage

AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Tripura Board of Secondary Examination (TBSE) has declared the results for Madhyamik, Madrasa Madyamik and Madrasa Alim examinations on Wednesday 9:00 AM. Report says, Gomati district of Tripura this year have secured the highest percentage with 76.79 percent while the West District of the state is distant to second position with 70.99 per cent. Ambika Das Gupta of Agartala Shishu Bihar School has topped this year with aggregate marks of 669. After the declaration of the result Ambika’s father said to TIWN, “Ambika had secured 95.5 per cent, with the letter marks in every subjects.” Asked about the reason behind Ambika’s success her father said, “With a total of 7 home teachers Ambika succeed scoring well in Madhyamik Examinations this year.” He also said that the main reason of her success is her mother who guided her well from class 1. Ambika studied at Udaipur English Medium School from class 1 to class 6 and later she took admission in Agartala Shishu Bihar School and thus her journey starts there from class 7, said Ambika’s father. A total of five students from Agartala Shishu Bihar School have positioned this year in the Madhyamik examinations with 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th. Abishekh Roy with aggregate of 665 marks third positioned, Anubrata Nath with 664 marks fourth positioned, Nabajyoti Majumder with of 663 marks achieved fifth position and another Dibakar Paitya of the same school positioned with ninth with aggregate of 657 marks.

Declaring the results on Wednesday TBSE President Mihir Kanti Deb said, “A total of 89 schools across the state this year have secured 100 per cent pass, whereas during the year 2014 a total of 118 schools secured with 100 per cent pass.” 

However, the number has come down this year in a comparison with 2014. Adding to that he said, “A total of 12 schools during the year 2015 have been distant to 100 per cent failure whereas a total of 14 schools have been distant to 100 per cent failure during the year 2014.

Abstracting the results of this year Deb said, “A total of 3, 5, 601 regular students across the state have appeared for the Madhyamik examinations out of which 2, 3, 641 have been passed”. The total percentage of passed candidates this year is 66.41 percent whereas during the year 2014 the pass percentage was 68.78 per cent.

Highest numbers of females appeared for the examinations this year is from the West district of the state with a total of 5549 followed by 2577 of females from North district and 2370 of females from Unakoti District.

A total of 923 schools across the state had participated in the examination this year amongst which 180 from west district, 110 from Gomati district and the rest from other districts of the state. Total number of examination centres rested at 75 whereas total number of examination venues was 138.

The total number of schools in TTAADC area were 245. Total number of pass percentage in the TTAADC areas during this year is 43.75 whereas in the previous year it rested at 45.96 per cent. A total of 8002 candidates appeared for the examinations this year from TTAADC.

2015 Madyamik Examinations being conducted by the TBSE commenced from March 3 and within 56 days from the date of completion of theoretical examinations the results have been declared on June 3.

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education was established in 1973 and became functional only in 1976. The main aim of the board is to promote and develop the standard of higher secondary education in Tripura. The students under the board are awarded marks based on a centralized evaluation system.

The main aim of the board is to regulate, supervise and control school education in Tripura. It prepares academic programmes and organised examinations for state level Class 10 students.
