Pass percentage in Madhyamik Examination 2015 reduced in TTAADC  areas

AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): The result of Madhyamik Examination in the Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has been reduced by 2.21 percentages as compared to the previous year. The total number of students enrolled this year, from TTAADC Areas was estimated to be 13154 , including the regular, continued, compartmental category.

Among the total of 13154, 39 students in regular category, 581 in continued category and 73 in external category remained absent in the Madhyamik Examination 2015. Therefore the total number finally appeared is recorded as 12461. A total of 174 students secure to bag 1st Division, 504 in 2nd Division, 4060 in 3rd Division and only one students attained P division.

So, as compared to last year the percentage decreases and final outcome is 43.75 %. It is to be mentioned that the last year percentage in this area was 45.96 %.

Lack of awareness regarding importance of education among the parents, language- barrier in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, absentees of concerned members in meetings for overall school development, accompanying parents in the fields for harvesting and taking admission in schools without having any basic knowledge and most importantly the pathetic condition of the school premises in TAADC areas, are the reasons of such results.

Language is also considered to be one of the barriers in the TTAADC areas due to which the students boycott classes and pass time in playing. A good percentage of students without having any basic knowledge take admission in schools. As a result, they could not cope up with the increasing pressure of studies and score poor marks to get promotion to the next classes.

Whereas in Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and others combined category the total number of male student passed is estimated at 14303 and in female category the total number passed is 12922. However the total number of male candidates in regular category is 18436 continued – 5157, Compartmental and external – 610.Altogether 24211 appeared in the examination.  In female category the regular appeared is: 17165, Continued- 5208, Compartmental-2, and External-590 which contributed to total of 22965.
