AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): When the whole world is celebrating the “International Day for protection of Children”, Tripura’s administration keeping mum as its Govt failure to secure its children and give a good life to them after ruling over the state from past 22 years. Children are suffering in orphanages without proper care, begging in footpaths and thus leading lives in sub-human conditions. Govt. which can’t provide basic needs of life to its upcoming generation cannot be called “poor” peoples Govt to lead a state. After getting order from the central Govt. to maintain the schemes like “Right to Education”, “Beti Bachao Abhiyan” etc. the State Govt. is unable to bring any positive effect. Moreover from Education Department to High officials, corruption gulping state to such a level that a dark future waits for the innocent future generations under poverty.

CPI-M leaders though try to portray a very corruption-free and prosperous image of Tripura, prolonging basic developments  by the present Govt. but the reality is rather opposite. The status of children and women are getting worse in State day by day. Though various NGOs and other social organizations are opened in this state to save children these seems to have no effect in actually.

A survey of last few years will make it easier to understand what’s the reality of the state.  Tripura, has become a state with epidomic level tortures upon women and children.  Girl children are regular victims of brutal rapes in the state. Though the “Human Rights Commission” already issued a notice to Tripura Government in 2014, for its abysmal record in dealing rcrimes against women, but the govt. is just giving   blind eyes to all these issues.

Whether in other developed countries and some Indian states, children are considered for having better individual identities with full rights to live, in states like Tripura the scenario is totally different. In school premises children are used to beat, in footpath they are begging, girl-children can’t feel safe at any place. So in total the reality of this state is very Tragic.
