By 2018 there will be no shelter less family in Dhalai District, said Revenue Minister Badal Choudhury

AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): Addressing the workshop, Revenue Minister Badal Choudhury stated that the State government has decided to construct house for all the shelter less families by 2018. He further stated that aiming to develop the social and financial condition of Jhumiya families; the state government has undertaken various initiatives.

The remote areas are mostly dwelling with Jhumiya families. Claiming about the initiatives, Choudhury further enhanced that these families were provided with land patta and allocated areas among them.

According to the official sources, focusing to accomplish the work process of land distribution successfully in the area a Tohoshil based committee was formed. The committee will be made to encounter the shelter less families and enquire about their situation and to take initial steps to regarding the betterment of these families.

District Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate along with other officials instructed the committee to encounter every shelter less family with the tenure of three month, said sources. Further it has been said that a total of Rs. 1.20 lakh has been spent to provide land to the families.

The land settlement and renovation workshop was presided over by Ambassa Panchayatraj Training Centre Sabhadhipati Shailesh Chandra Acharya which was organized with the initiatives Dhalai District Administration, said sources.

During the program, MLA Lalit Kumar Debbarma, Bijoy Laxmi Sinha, Nirajoy Tripura, Dhalai District Magistrate Dr. Sandip R Rathore and Deputy Secretary of Revenue Department Sankar Chakraborty along with other representatives were present.
