AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Not time left for the ruling CPI-M and its Left front govt. here in Tripura which is to bring nightmares very soon, as the Pradesh congress prepares to go for ‘Dharna’ at New Delhi during the middle of June this year. A team of Tripura Pradesh congress Committee (TPCC) prepares to reach Delhi on June 14 and scheduled to meet President of India Pranab Mukharjee, Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman said to TIWN on Wednesday.

Barman said that recently he along with Pradesh Congress President Birajit Sinha went to Delhi to finalise the schedule of Congress’ visit regarding chit fund issue. Sinha would arrive here in the state on May 29 from Delhi whereas Barman had already arrived here and has sat for preparing the schedule of their visit to Delhi.

After reaching Delhi on June 14 the congress team would meet the President and later the All India Congress Committee (AICC) would sit for a meeting in presence of the Tripura opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman TPCC President Birajit Sinha and other leaders, said Barman.

Asked about the issue of meeting President, Barman on Wednesday said that they would meet him taking up the issue of the negligence role of the central govt. over the CBI probe on NBFC companies here in Tripura.

He also said that the date for Dharna at New Delhi had not yet been fixed but after Sinha arrives here from Delhi the congress leaders would hold a meeting taking up the issue.  But the entire procedure of protest against Tripura Chit fund would begin from June 14 after the congress team would reach Delhi.

Earlier this month after the ADC elections Barman reiterating its demand for a CBI probe into the activities of all illegal chit fund groups in the state, said that, the congress MLAs along with the leaders and the supporters would hit the Jantar Mantar at New Delhi on mid-June this year by staging a sit-in-demonstration and protesting the ‘negligence role’ of the central govt. over issuing CBI probe into the illegal activities of the NBCs here in Tripura.

Barman blaming the govt. at the centre said, “The central govt. intentionally with a political motive is trying to curtain the ponzi scam of Tripura.” Adding to that Barman also claimed that the central govt. has owned a strategy of “Pick & Choose”.

He said, inspite of providing bundles of letter and documents relevant to fraudulent activities of the NBFCs here, the central govt. has not yet responded to it and has not taken any necessary step by issuing CBI probe in to the scam in Tripura.

Barman said, Sarkar and his ministers have encouraged the poor people of the state to invest in ponzi schemes of Rose Valley, whose chairman Gautam Kundu is in custody for alleged money laundering.

Sarkar, a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) politburo member, had earlier denied his government's involvement in the Rose Valley group after Burman published photographs of the Marxist leader attending an event of the company.

However but it is worthy to be mentioned here that , the Opposition Congress leaving no stone unturned and despite a serious debacle in the recently concluded general elections in the Tribal Council, yet again all set to push the Central govt. for a CBI probe into the scam. This would however bring no respite for the ruling CPI-M now as its Left front govt. would soon can have a nightmare dream of the chit fund scam.
