Power disruption paralyses facilities at IGM hospital

AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): In the age of golden era, power disruption for an hour at IGM hospital on Saturday morning has left the patients and their family in a critical condition. The multistoried building turned paralyzed when power disruption continued for one hour from 9 to 10 AM in the premises of the hospital.

Reportedly, the power cut mostly created havoc in the pregnancy care unit of the hospital. Apart, the lift of the hospital also went non-functional due to power cut. As a result, the patients with major health issue have suffered a lot as they had to walk upon the stairs for visiting the doctors in their clinic.

Huge crowd of patient was noticed in front of the diagnostic centre especially the X-Ray division of the hospital as due to power cut and low voltage X-Ray division went out of operation for one hour.

The Patients family alleged that though the hospital building has been renovated with a huge amount of money but the hospital lack in basic necessities for the smooth running of the hospital.

It has come to our eye that patients at the Pregnancy unit were the most sufferer as the unit has completely turn into darkness and the services were left paralyzed in the unit.

The state most popular hospital enters into the darkness as load shedding grabs the hospital. Many patients claim that though the building of the hospital is renovated but the hospital doesn’t have the facility of generator to provide service during power cut.

However a sigh of relief was witnessed among the patient and their family after power resumed at the hospital after one hour.

Day after day the hospital faces such crisis and erupt numbers of problem for the patient and their family but so far no action is taken by the concerned authority to solve the problem.
