AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Pradesh Committee on Friday staged an awareness campaign on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden promise that each Indian would receive Rs 15 lakh when black money would be repatriated from abroad.

The awareness campaign was staged in front of State Bank of India (SBI) Agartala main branch office at Melarmath.

During the campaign the NSUI supporters comprising of NSUI All India Secretary Dipak Negi said that on Saturday it would one year that PM Modi sat in power at the centre but yet today Modi failed to fulfill the promise made by him in regard of repatriating black money from abroad.

Negi talking to TIWN on Friday said, “Modi made statements to the people of this country stating that they will bring back black money and put Rs 15 lakh into the account of each citizen.”

However as the promise has not been fulfilled yet today the NSUI on Friday staged not a protest but an awareness campaign with an aim to remind Modi about his promise as on May 16 Modi’s one year term as a Prime Minister would end, said Negi talking to TIWN on Friday.
