AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Giving a shy of relief to the deprived masses of the corruption ridden Tripura, the Modi Government is making eminent BJP leader Tathagata Roy as the Governor of the state replacing P B Acharya. Known to be a pragmatic speaker and an intellect of high repute, the former Railway Chief Engineer and Professor of Jadavpur University is all set to replace existing Governor P B Acharya, who will be able to concentrate more as the Governor of Assam and Nagaland after handing over the charge. The CPI-M dominated state was so far experiencing the services of Governors who were acting more like rubber stamps than a prompt administrative machinery putting their signatures did the least in guiding the state Govt. in ruling the state, feel the political analysts here. With his vast political experience in the CPI-M ruled state of West Bengal, the veteran BJP leader will give tough run to the Manik Sarkar led state Govt. as the former State President of West Bengal BJP will not be a mere spectator whenever the atrocities are committed on the innocent people of the state, claims the analysts here. It may be mentioned here that the deprivation and victimization of the opposition political supporters of the state have become a common affair in the CPI-M bastion here, thanks to the corrupt regime of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

It may be mentioned here that the Tripura Governor was in charge of another two states Assam and Nagaland and the Governor has been entrusted with the charges of the two states  relieving him of Tripura.

The recent attack on the opposition supporters specially of BJP supporters after the ADC election is not seen lightly by the BJP top brass in Delhi and the continuous attorocities on the opposition supporters will be made a big issue in the coming elections, feels the political analysts here.     

It may be mentioned here that a BJP candidate of the 7^th ADC election was booked by the police on various framed charges to satisfy their political bosses. The BJP candidate, Padmalochan Tripura alongwith his supporters were attacked by the CPI(M) supporters after the declration of election result on May 6. The leader was beaten mercilessly by the CPI(M) cadres when he came to protect his supportrers from the CPI(M) brutality.  The police was prompt in arresting the BJP candidate along with his supporters untill the party state unit rallied behind him for his release from the police station.

The politicalisation of the state police and general administration was criticized heavily by the BJP National President Amit Shah during his speech at the Swami Vivekananda Stadium here on April 27 last.

The veteran BJP leader is well versed with the Tripura situation and his actions in the state will only speak about his dynamism, says political analysts here.
