500 teachers to be transferred soon in Tripura: Hope of improving the quality of education: Condition of TTAADC area remains in the backdrop
TIWN

AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): In yet another batch, near about 500 graduate and undergraduate school teachers should be transferred from their present schools in the coming one or two consecutive weeks. Earlier, the 1st phase of transfer of teachers estimates to 2015 persons, and in the second phase, it estimates to 2985 persons. However, School Education Department hopes of increasing the standard of students by allotting teachers to the school wherever necessary.

It is to be mention that, the appointment of teachers in the year 2010, 2012 and 2015 fails to reduce the shortage of teachers in the schools. Tripura State Government had issued a notification regarding transfer of teachers. Those teachers having tenure of 15 to 20 years in urban area are now transferred to rural areas. And those of rural areas to urban.”Reluctance of a section of teachers to serve inn hills and in villages has largely affected the education system.

The number of dropouts in rural areas, mainly on the hills, is alarming and many schools are functioning with just a couple of teachers. While a large number of teachers continue with their jobs in urban areas and earn a lot through private tuition, their counterparts are languishing in rural pockets for years together. It also may be recalled here that earlier in an effort at achieving excellence in school education and ending disparity among teaching staff, Tripura plans mass transfer of teachers.

But this mass transfer of teachers payed no benefit for the schools on Autonomous District Council area. Most of the schools in (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) TTAADC are running without the School teachers. The CPI (M) led state government is only giving lectures in rallies and programmes regarding TTAADC development. But the reality is that the state government is not doing anything to solve the issue. Instead of doing anything the state government is busy in playing dirty politics.
