Agartala, May 4 (TIWN): The School Education Department paved a way for the administrative decentralization. According to the notification issued by the Director of School Education Department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, on March 30th, it is said that inspite of 1 School Inspector Office in each subdivision, there will be 59 Inspector Office for keeping a bird’s eye on the activity of various schools.

Illustrating the matter, it is informed that, in Sadar Sub-division, the offices will be located at Sadar and Dukli, in Mohanpur; it will be on 4 places such as Mohanpur, Bamutia, Lefunga and Hezamara. In Jirania at Jirania, Mandai, Old Agartala and Belbari. Bishalgarh had two places namely Bishalgarh and Charilam.

While Jampuijala had only one place, in Sonamura offices will be located at Nalchar, Kathalia, Boxanagar and Sonamura, Khowai-Khowai, Tulasikhar and Padmabil. Teliamura-Teliamura, Kalyanpur, Mungiakami. Kamalpur will have only two places such as kamalpur and Salema. Ambassa-Ambassa and Ganganagar. Longtaraivalley- Manu and Chamunu, Gandacherra- Raishyabari, Kumarghat-Kumarghat and Pecharthal, Kailasahar- Kailasahar and Chandipur. The remaining offices will be located in other subdivisions.

On the other hand, a section of people whispering that this step of decentralization is only meant for allocating more funds from the Central Government. With that fund of Central Government, State Government will manage their own funds.

Despite that, teaching pattern fails to attract the students in Govt. schools in Tripura, which results decreasing of students day by day. Having achieved more than 95 per cent literacy, Tripura is not resting on its laurels. The state government, specially the department of school education, is deeply concerned over “very low” attendance in schools across the state. Even the midday meal scheme fails to achieve the target.
