TIWN

UDAIPUR, May 3 (TIWN): At least 75 voters of Bagma Killa constituency on Sunday boycotted vote to TTAADC under Udaipur Sub-Division protesting non development of their ADC area.

When the ADC areas of the entire state on Sunday goes for polling to 28 seats of tribal council, the voters under 20 No. Bagma Killa Constituency today boycotted voting to ADC at Tuichakma JB School 15 no. booth. There are a total of 985 voters at the constituency.

However later getting an alarm the political leaders along with the Panchayat Chairman rushed to the spot and took a stock of the situation, but most interestingly no administrative team went to the area till reports are collected on Sunday.

After the voting kicked off at Killa constituency, a total of 75 voters of Monithangbari under Killa constituency refused to vote claiming that there were no developments at the area since past many years causing the villagers to suffer at large.

However but it is to be mentioned here that earlier in wake of the ADC poll the opposition political party along with a section of ADC villagers piled blame on CPI-M led Tripura government for the prolonged deprivation of the tribal people living in the ADC areas.

The opposition alleged that the tribal hamlets are yearning for basic civic amenities – drinking water, proper healthcare system, road connectivity, communication, unemployment and others in the regime of the Left Front government.

The opposition also claimed that no tribal area can be developed in the red bastion. However, but yet today the opposition parties of the state had failed to keep any challenge before the ruling CPI-M party with the CPI-M led Left front govt. is all set to gain a momentum of another victory.
