AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): REGA issue again thrills the dreams of the campaign of CPI-M Government ahead of TTAADC election. On Wednesday the workers of Dalak Panchayat of Amarpur had staged road blockade at Udaipur-Amarpur Road.

Not only that the workers also locked the Pachayat Secretary and other two GRS workers inside the Pachayat. Frustrated with the nonpayment of REGA wages for long time, the irritated workers had taken such a drastic step. Promised by the Panchayat officials, the villagers went to collect their money with high expectations but only realized that they would not be paid the money even on Wednesday.

Tripura's MGNREGA multicrore corruptions and officials like BDO Bimal Chakraborty kind of people causing violent eruptions of anger in various places of Tripura. Its hightime that Tripura's egoist CM and CPI-M leadership to witness the massive anger brewing among MGNREGA workers, unemployed youths across the state which now started erupting in various places before it engulfs the entire corruption tainted administration.

The centrally sponsored MGNREGA scheme is in risk here in rural Tripura with the panchayats across the state delaying the payment of wages to the REGA workers. Yet on another protest against the nonpayment of the wages under MGNREGA ahead the agitated laborers of Dalak Panchayat under Amarpur today staged a road blockade.

It sounds weird but appears to be true that the wages of workers under the NREGA have been revised on papers but the reality is far from it. Irregularities in REGA wages under almost every Panchayats of the state are often coming out highlighted where the workers are being deprived at large and often they show a protest infront of the panchayats and have been staging a road blockade often.

However, it is mentionable here that when the REGA workers here in Tripura are already deprived from their deserved wages, on the other the Tripura CM Manik Sarkar has been demanding for the withdrawal of the curtailment of MGNREGA fund here in Tripura for the benefit of the poor people of the state. Therefore it would be wise enough to comment here that depriving the REGA workers at large the panchayats are probably making a hefty profit in their business of looting the public money.
