AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): With another momentum for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pradesh Committee in wake of general election to TTAADC, a total of 14 workers from various political parties of the state under the leadership of Ex-Minister Jahar Saha on Sunday joined BJP.
BJP state President Sudhindra Das Gupta welcomed them at party headquarter through a programme. Talking to TIWN in this regard Das Gupta said that the BJP now keeps eye on 2018 general election at the state, while the BJP had already prepared the deck for ADC election.
He also said, “The workers of various political parties who joined the BJP recently eyed to save the state from the Left regime.”
However it is to be mentioned here that the BJP had also readied the stage for the BJP Chief Amit Saha who would arrive here at the state on Monday and would address the public gathering.
The mass gathering would be held at Agartala Vivekananda Ground on Monday. Shah would leave the state on the next day after holding a series of meeting with the party officials here centering ADC election.
ADC poll is scheduled to be held on May, 3, with almost all the political parties of the state geared up their poll campaign eyeing forward to sweep the election. However but the opposition had failed to keep any challenge before the ruling CPI-M so far.
