AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): A group of high profile congress leaders including former minister and congress leader Jawhar Saha and MLAs will join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on April 27, ahead of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election which will be held on May 03.
According to sources, around 300 CPI (M) supporters had been already joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The central leaders will take a decision keeping eyes on the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections. Central leaders wanted to know the opinion of the state committee about the proposal of congress leaders. BJP state committee conveyed their decision to the central leaders and now the Delhi may take decision, the source mentioned.
The uninterrupted 22 year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration in Tripura. Corruption in implementation of rural development schemes continues unabated. There is a state government of Tripura eats up all the money which comes from the central government for development, he source alleged.
It is to be mentioned here that BJP National General Secretary Ram Lal Ji criticized the Left Front for having their orthodox mentality and they haven’t served the common people. He also said that the CPI (M) MP’s do not raise the issues of the state at the parliament and remain numb there.
