AGARTALA, April 1 (TIWN): All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary Bhupen Borah on his arrival to the state here messaged the Pradesh Congress Committee for united labor to the ensuing ADC election. Borah arrived here on March 31 and had already left the state today. Besides, the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Birajit Sinha today held a pre-poll meeting with the congress workers and the newly appointed observers here at the Congress Bhawan. Talking to TIWN today Sinha said that keeping eye on the ensuing TTAADC election declared to be held on May 3, the Congress has already geared up for the election to the ADC. A series of meetings were held and would be held here during the next couple of days to finalise the candidate lists for the election. However it is mentionable that the CPI (M) along with the regional parties of the state had already declared their candidate lists for the TTAADC election with some new faces brought to fight in this year. While, the BJP Pradesh committee who is moving forward with their strategy to base here as the main opposition to the ruling CPI(M) had also geared up for the poll. BJP Chief Amit shah is scheduled to visit the state on April 27 to address the party workers and the public.
Talking to TIWN in this regard the BJP state President Sudhindra Das Gupta said that Agartala Vivekananda ground has been finalized for the mass gathering on April 27. Besides, asked about the candidate lists Das Gupta said it will be declared very soon after April 6.
