AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): A Joint Forum of Tripura Gramin Union (JFGBU) bank today along with the other Bank branches across the nation staged a sit-in-demonstration to oppose the RRB Act Amendment Bill-2104 and unilateral committee report of S.K. Mitra related to manpower. The Bank forum today also demanded for the facilities under the bi-lateral salary agreement with retrospective effect along with pension.
The JFGBU Tripura branch along with the whole nation also called for a one day strike of the bank on April 28, 2015 to protest against the RRB Act Amendment Bill-2104 and unilateral committee report of S.K. Mitra related to manpower. The JFGBU demanded to cancel and withdraw the RRB Act Amendment 2014 and the SK Mitra Committee report related to the manpower. The forum today slogged that the rural banks may find it difficult to grow their business and recover advances with the Centre looking to reduce manpower to improve efficiency and lower costs.
However the JFGBU Tripura branch today staged the sit-in-demonstration infront of the Bank Head Offices along with the other branches across the nation. The JFGBU also planned to sit for a protest movement on April 27, 2015 opposing the same issues.
