UDAIPUR, March 25 (TIWN): A massive road mishap on Wednesday morning at Bagma area under R.K. Pur Police Station, left at least 3 injured, amongst whom one seriously injured was referred to Agartala GB Hospital.
According to police, the incident took place while one Maruti Suzuki WagonR car bearing number-TR03-H-0688 moving towards Agartala from Udaipur collided head on with a truck bearing number-TR03-A-1536 which was coming from the opposite direction. As a result, all three persons of Maruti Suzuki WagonR car were injured seriously namely Akash Islam (19) driver of the car, Munmoon Malik (45) and Ganesh Dutta (37).
After getting the information police personnel from R.K. Pur Police Station rushed to the spot and immediately shifted all the three injured persons to Gomati District Hospital where in the attending doctors discharged Akash Islam (19) after first-aid. It was reported that the condition of Ganesh Dutta (37) was stable. And Munmoon Malik (45) was immediately referred to GBP hospital for further treatment.

The truck driver namely Litan Mia managed to flee away from the spot. Police seized both the vehicles and registered a specific case in this regard. A hunt is on to arrest accused Litan Mia, said police.
According to official report, altogether 2581 road mishaps occurred in the last three financial years including 901 road accidents in the financial year 2012 12, 855 accidents in the year 2013 14 and 363 more road mishaps in the year 2014 till date.
