AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and his council of ministers boost themselves as champions in protecting the rights and welfare of working class. Every now and then they shed crocodile tears claiming that union government policy is to safeguard the interest of industrialists. Whereas the fact is CPI (M) ruled government is very much expert in fooling people of the state by finding faults in others.
When Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Power Minister Manik Dey are busy in inauguration spree, then five workers of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) were electrocuted and battling for life at GBP hospital. Chief Minister was inaugurating a hospital at Khowai and power minister a TSECL station at Kanchanpur in North Tripura district.
The incident happened today morning at Teliamura market in Khowai district, Six workers TSECL was electrocuted when they were working in high tension power supply line. Five employee was referred to GBP hospital from Teliamura sub division hospital with critical injuries.
According to report, the incident happened due to negligence of officials of power department. For working in power supply TSECL fails to provide minimum safety gadgets. The so called working class government for their safety and comfortable journey can procure expensive cars, but the safety of workers are of lesser importance for them.
