AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Will the history repeats in the year 2015? The deprivation of the State Government employees will lead to the work strike or not is the burning question now days. It is likely to hear that the Joutha Mancha likely to go on strike within few days. Sources informed that, the leader of the Tripura Government Employees Federation (TGEF), Ajay Biswas will explained in details in support of their strike in a press meet which might be held on March 25th. Recently, Secretary of the Federation, Samar Roy had given hint on this matter. It is to be mentioned that, on March 1975, the same situation had transform into a working strike.
Due to the intentional and one sided attitude of state Govt, primarily by the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, the Govt employees of Tripura will face a terrible financial crisis in coming years. From 1st January 2016 Central Govt will implement the proposals of the 7th Pay Commission for their employees. But in Tripura Manik Sarkar & Co is still busy in putting up the blame upon the 13th Finance Commission. It is learnt that former Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury raised the issue several times in the cabinet meets during the last three years. But Manik Sarkar did not allow the then Finance Minister to pass the 'revised salary structure' of the state government employees in the cabinet.
In the name of 'Deprivation of 14th Finance Commission, Left Front and CPI (M) collectively and very successfully collapsed the economy of the state and once again the party is on its way to make the same type of false campaign during the tenure of 13th Finance Commission clearly knowing that Finance Commission will not propose for allocation of funds from the Centre unless state Govt implements Central Pay Scale to the state Govt employees as per the recommendation of the 6th Pay Commission.
Indeed, the state Govt employees are once again on the verge sheer financial deprivation simply due to the negative attitude of Left Govt. And once again it is sure that the economy of the state will suffer a massive setback as the state Government employees contribution is a significant part in keeping the economy of the state in right direction. Even now there is a bleak chance of recovery. If state Govt declares Central Pay scale and make it immediate effect, then the 14th Finance Commission will consider these additional expenses as Committed Expenditure.
