AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): 5,000 teachers were transferred in the two consecutive months. But this mass transfer of teachers payed no benefit for the schools on Autonomous District Council area. School education Department sources further informed in the coming days, 300-500 teachers were also going to be transferred. It is to be mention that, the appointment of teachers in the year 2010, 2012 and 2015 fails to reduce the shortage of teachers in the schools. The 1st phase of transfer of teachers estimates to 2015 persons, and in the second phase, it estimates to 2985 persons. But in case of ADC areas, only 56 persons were employed. State Government’s decision of mass teachers transfer in the previous year has not completed till now. This has created a direct impact on the studies of the school students.

As the new academic session was started, the progress of study in schools should be smoother. But it is seen that in most of the schools, after the transfer of one teacher, new teacher is not appointed. This has hampered the studies of the future citizens of the country. Whereas, according to the State Government, these transfers are made to boost the quality of education and reducing disparity among the Teachers,,the shortfall in teaching staff will ... District Council (ADC), but there is a shortage of 14,875 teachers cutting  to dog the schools, particularly those in rural and hilly areas of the state.

Earlier, Tripura State Government had issued a notification regarding transfer of teachers within some days. However, such type of notification was earlier issued too. But still no proper action has been taken. Those teachers having tenure of 15 to 20 years in urban area are now transferred to rural areas. And those of rural areas to urban.”Reluctance of a section of teachers to serve inn hills and in villages has largely affected the education system. The number of dropouts in rural areas, mainly on the hills, is alarming and many schools are functioning with just a couple of teachers. While a large number of teachers continue with their jobs in urban areas and earn a lot through private tuition, their counterparts are languishing in rural pockets for years together. It is to be mentioned here that earlier in an effort at achieving excellence in school education and ending disparity among teaching staff, Tripura plans mass transfer of teachers. But still now no proper steps had been taken yet. It also comes to hear that under the era of Director Sahadeb Das, the file suddenly disappeared before reaching the Ministers office. The mystery behind this still deepens. On the other hand TGEA always up against of transfer of teachers, particularly of their choicable ones. Their primary point is that frequent transfer of teachers caused dismay in various government run schools. Education system in the schools is deteriorating day by day and students have been deprived of quality education
