KAMALPUR, March 13 (TIWN): United Bank of India Kamalpur branch which is the Chest Branch of RBI for the subdivision too, got labeled with the serious allegation of supplying Fake Indian Currency notes to different Bank branches without restraints or verification. The matter turned more serious as the United Bank of India authority remained reluctant to remedy the matter or to comment on it.

Mr. Swapan Adhikary, the Branch Manager of Tripura Gramin Bank Kamalpur Branch brought this grave allegation against the UBI kamalpur branch.

He told TIWN that, on wednesday when their bank staff took money from UBI for their Branch, they found two fake notes of 1,000 rupees among 80,000 rupees. As the money was little in amount, so the matter came to light in the Branch and the staff demanded to change the fake note with original one. But the authority mysteriously did not do that. The same things happened two days earlier. When the Gramin Bank branch authority contacted with the UBI authority they denounced to change the denominations. Same incident happened with the Gramin Bank Salema branch and Tripura State Cooperative Bank Kamalpur branch. When asked the UBI branch authority denounced to comment on this.

The locality thought it as a matter of grave concern and demanded stringent probe to unearth the reality behind the curtain.
