AGARTALA, March 12 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) demanded for immediate filling-up of all the posts lying vacant with the state government departments. However besides, the congress also demanded for the announcement of the 7th pay Commission (PC) immediately after it becomes operational in the state. The 7th Pay Commission is scheduled to become operational from January 01, 2016.

Interacting with the media persons today during the press conference at Agartala Congress Bhawan Opposition MLA Ratan lal Nath said that under the regime of the Left front govt. here in the state Tripura the state revenue has faced a major downfall.

During the Financial Year (FY) 2013-14 the revenue was 16%, during the FY 2014-15 the revenue has come down to 12.83%, while during the FY 2015-16, the revenue rested at 11%, said Nath. Adding to that he claimed that because of the state government’s aimless policy the revenue of the state has come down.

The state govt. here in Tripura has no attempt for the development of the state and has no plan for the state, claimed Nath. Nath alleged that the state govt. has always been asking for money from the central govt. but here in the state the govt. back tracked from putting the fund into practice. Beside the unemployed youths of the state has been betrayed by the state govt. at large.

Beside on the sideline of another major issue of the state Nath said that Tripura recorded to have got the highest inflation rate across the country under the stewardship of the ruling Left Front government as compared to the other states. He said that the situation indicated poor control of the state government over the internal market. “People from the common lower income group suffer the most due to such situations. On the contrary, the Dearness Allowance (DA) and DR allowed to state government employees and pensioners is one of the lowest in the country. This is in total disconnect with the requirement”, said Nath today during the press conference.
