Agartala / Bisalgarh /Bishramganj / Baikhora, March 7 (TIWN): Multiple accidents across state in Agartala,Bisalgarh, Bishramganj, Baikhora claimed 1 life and 38 injured on Saturday.
Under East Agartala PS
Today on 07-03-2015 at about 1340 hours, one bike rider Suman Modak(32), S/O Sri Nepal Modak of Aralia, PS-East Agartala was proceeding towards Khayerpur from Agartala side and another bike rider with pillion rider was proceeding towards Agartala from Khayerpur side. When both bike riders reached at Chandrapur near Rajashi TATA motor collided head on with each other. As a result bike rider Suman Modak who was riding Pulsar bike(numberless) without helmet sustained grievous injuries and shifted to GBP hospital wherein he was declared dead. Another bike rider with bike bearing No.TR-01-V-7700 CBZ fled away from the spot after the accident. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving of both bike riders. Necessary action is being taken by the PS.
Under Bishramganj PS
(1) Today on 07-03-2015 at about 1740 hours, one Bus bearing No.TR-01-1479 was proceeding towards Agartala from Udaipur side and when reached at Lungthaicherra on NH-44 the said bus overturned. As a result 14/15 passengers received simple/grievous injuries on their persons and were shifted to BishramganjHospital. 4 injured passengers out of them were shifted to GBPHospital for better treatment. The accident occurred due over speed driving on the part of the driver who lost control of the vehicle. Necessary action is being taken by the PS.
(2) Today on 07-03-2015 at about 1405 hours, one Indica Car bearing No.TR-01-A-0775 was proceeding towards Agartala from Udaipur and when reached at Bishalgarh H.S. School dashed an Auto rickshaw bearing No.TR-0E-3985 which was coming from opposite direction. As a result Auto driver namely Sajal Debnath (35), S/O Harendra Debnath of Jogendranagar, PS-East Agartala received injuries on his person and was shifted to BishalgarhHospital. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of Indica Car. Necessary action is being taken by the PS.
Under Baikhora PS.
Today on 07-03-2015 at about 1720 hours, one Bus bearing No.TR-03-1343 was proceeding towards Manubazer from Agartala side and one truck (number unknown) was coming from opposite direction and when both the vehicles reached at SSB camp on NH-44 under Baikhora PS collided head on with each other. As a result 16/17 passengers of Bus received simple/ grievous injuries on their persons and were shifted to JolaibariHospital. One injured passenger out of them was referred to GBPHospital. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of both drivers of vehicles. A specific case is being registered in this regard.
