AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): “I do not say NO, but as of now I cannot say YESâ€, said Minister Bhanulal Saha on Thrusday. Tripura Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that the state cabinet held a crucial meeting on uncertainty over the central pay scale and DA for the Tripura teachers inducted under the state govt. Besides, the state cabinet today approved several vacant posts under the state govt. with 120 posts under the Forest Department.
The cabinet on Thursday approved the creation of new posts and filling up of some vacant posts at various departments. Talking to reporters at secretariat, information and cultural minister Bhanu Lal Saha after the meeting informed that at forest department at least 120 forest rangers would be appointed, 5 senior chemists vacant post woul be filled up under the state health department, 156 Ministrial Staffs would be appointed under the agriculture department, and 45 vacant posts would be filled up under the state minority welfare department.
However, later talking to the reporters Saha said that the cabinet today will also hold a crucial meeting over providing DA and Central pay scale to the teachers inducted under the state govt. it is mentionable here during the budget session that ended recently Minister informed the house giving pay scales to the employees depends on the recommendations of the XIV Finance Commission’s for the state. However but the opposition bench expressing dissatisfaction over the statement of the Minister Bhanulal Saha, said that the state would receive Rs. 25,000 crore under the share of central tax head besides a hefty amount under gap grant during the XIV FC period. Then why is the govt. reluctant to accept the 6th CPC recommendations for the interest of state govt. employees, the opposition leader asked.
