AGARTALA, February 20 (TIWN): Though State Government claims that the concerned departments under their tenure are fully corruption free. But the recent data tabled on the Assembly sketched out a total vice- versa figure. In a written reply against the question raised by MLA Ratan Lal Nath, Minister-In-Charge of the Home Department, Manik Sarkar, informed about the recent status. Now the question raised by the common people of the State, is that how Government will now cover up their face ? At the same time there is no denying of the fact that crores of MGNREGA fund was looted by a section of ruling party leaders and a section of corrupt officials, of course those are in CPI (M)'s good book. Over the last few months through RTI several documents of Internal Audit Reports (IAR) different blocks, Nagar Panchayats and Municipal Councils and other departments of state govt were unearthed.

In the ongoing 'Statewide Scam Festival of Manik's Tripura' it is not quite sure how many more scams are going to be unearthed? All the recent scams which was unearthed in the recent time all the scamsters are close aids of So. Called Mr. Clean Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who is also known as the poorest and honest Chief Minister’s in all over India.

In the recent Rs. 50 Crore MGNREGA multicrore scam of Bishalgarh RD Block the scamster Bimal Chakraborty is also a close aide of the Chief minister.

Though, Bimal is close aide of CM he is now in Jail Custody and the police are taking care of Bimal like a VIP due to his high political influence, said a source. No doubt MGNREGA has been playing a pivotal role in the rural economy of the state ever since its enactment.

The details of the recent scams are enlisted below:

 1) Looting of Rs 50 crore from MGNREGA fund in which Comrade BDO Bimal Chakraborty, who is the brother of DYFI state Secretary Amal Chakraborty, is the prime accused

2) Rs 40 crore scam on NRHM in Kailashahar

3) Rs 90 crore scam in NH44 construction (alleged that the construction agreement was given to BRO in Rs 90 crore but it can be completed in Rs 10 crore. Obviously the lions share of this money went to the party in power)

4) Rs 20 crore scam in Rupaichhari R D Block

5) Rs 25 crore scam in Teliamura R D Department

6) Rs 35 crore scam in Kailashahar Horticulture Department

7) Rs 15 crore scam in Agri Superintendent Office at Mohanpur( regarding the buying & distribution of potato seeds).Bijoy Roy, Store Keeper has been suspended

8) Rs 3 crore scam in Bamboo Project (jungle cutting) in Kadamtala

9) Rs 5 crore scam involved in the construction of Kadamtala Hospital

10) Rs 2 crore scam in Tripura Apex Fishery (purchasing of dry fish, limestone, fish food)

11) Rs 2 crore scam in purchase of watermelons plants 12 Rs 1.crore looting in Melaghar R D Block's Golden Jubilee Celebration

15) Rs 5 crore RMSA scam.

.If Tripura High Court orders a CBI investigation on multiple scams in Tripura as PILs filed by Congress and TMC, and then same outcome is expected in Tripura. Interestingly most of the scams are taken place in those departments which are under the belts of the most trusted ministers of Manik Sarkar,  Ratan Bhowmik( DWS), Bhanu Lal(Finance & ICA), Manik Dey(Power) ,Naresh Jamatia(RD) and Tapan Chakraborty(School Education).
