Sit in Demonstration by Govt pensioners organized in Udaipur

UDAIPUR, February 16(TIWN): All Tripura Pensioners' Association's Undivided South Tripura committee today organized a 3 hours long Mass 'Sit in Demonstration' with 20 points demands. The programme started at 12 hours when the pensioners gathered in front of DM Gomati's office and continued. The demonstration was led by Shanti Ranjan Debnath, President of State Pensioners' Association, and Association’s Gomati District Chairman Shital Chandra Majumder.

 Among the 20 points demands, followings are the key:-

 1) Revised Pension Scale must be provided to those employees retired from 1/1/2006 to 31/12/2008

  2) At least one govt job to be provided to the families of Govt pensioners who have no govt employee in their respective families

3) Immediate release of 30% due DR immediately to all pensioners

4) EPF PENSIONERS should be given pension as per state govt pensioners

5)  Highest ceiling of gratuity must be increased up to 10 lakh

6) Medical allowance of retired employees should be increased up to Rs 1000/-

7) All teachers' recruitment should make compulsory through School Service Commission.

       Speaking on this occasion Preparatory Committee Chairman Shital Chandra Majumder said that if the govt does not respond immediately to the demands of the pensioners, we will start even greater movement in future.
