Agartala, February 14 (TIWN): In an order from General Administration (P&T) Department vide no: F.14(1)-GA(P&T)/11, Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura and Secretary of Finance Department- Ashutosh Jindal, IAS (MT:1995) was released from his incumbent assignment of the state government with effect from the date he relinquishes the charge.
In pursuance of fax message no- 33/03/20/2015 (SM-I)(1) from Department of Personal and Training, New Delhi dated: 12/01/2015, he was released from his present services of the state government at the disposal of the Government of India for his appointment as Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, New Delhi on central deputation.
As a consequence upon the release of Ashutosh Jindal, the charge of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Tripura will remain with the Additional Chief Electoral Officer.
Chief Secretary- G. Kameswara Rao (IAS) will hold the charge of Rural Development (excluding Panchayats) Department in addition.
Principal Secretary of Public Works Department (PWD) - Lok Ranjan (IAS) will hold the charges of Information and Cultural Affairs (including tourism) and Urban Development Departments while the Secretary of Transport Department- Samarjit Bhowmik (IAS) will hold the additional charge of Education (Higher) Department as well.
In addition, the Secretary of Revenue Department- Puneet Agarwal (IAS) will hold the additional charges of Finance Department.
The gazette notification (vide: F. 14(1)-GA (P&T)/11) was issued undersigned by the Additional Secretary- RK Debbarma with order of the Governor of Tripura.
