Agartala/Amarpur, February 14 (TIWN): With the joint initiative of Tripura Waqf Board and Information and cultural Affairs Department, two-day long state level Jari Sari Utsav will be commenced at Nazrul Kalakshetra on February 20.

The first position baggers participants of sub-divisional level competition will be participating in the different events of state level Jari Sari Utsav, said Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)- Manik Lal Das.

According to the SDM, Sadar sub-divisional level Jari Sari Utsav is scheduled to be commenced at Vivekakanda Auditorium of Umakanta Academy on February 17. During the utsav, various competitions will be held in 10 separate events.

To make the Jari Sari Utsav a grand success, a 28-mmber committee was constituted where SDM Sadar and chairman of Sadar Waqf Committee- Mansoor Ali were chosen as convener and chairman of the committee, he said.

Among the 10 events, sit and draw competition, recitation, Rabindra-Nazrul song, Islami Gajal, Murshidi, Marfati, Lalangiti and songs of Hachan Raja will be held among the children upto 10 years. Besides, wedding songs (female), Kawali and Jari Sari songs will be performed in the Utsav.

The committee requested all the interested participants to register their names at Sadar SDM office and Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Niwas by February 10. All the participants have to carry age proof for registering name.

The sit and draw competition will be held from 7.30 am onwards and the art paper will be given by the concerned Utsav committee.

Similarly, Amarpur sub-division level Jari Sari Utsav is scheduled to be commenced at New Town hall adjacent to Amarpur tri-junction on February 16. The programme will be jointly organized by the Minority Welfare Department, Waqf Board, ICA department and Amarpur sub-divisional administration.

Chairman of Panchayat Samity- Rajib Das would inaugurate the Jari Sari Utsav while the programme will be presided over by the chairman of Amarpua sub-divisional Waqf Board- Mamtaz Begam.
