Tainted publisher Jnan Bichitra receives serious blow in business, Manik Sarkar boycotted it’s ill design in book publication show

AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN Exclusive): The latest business plan of tainted publisher Debananda Dam of Jnan Bichitra could not succeed a day before the beginning of Agartala book fair. To recover the shock of financial loss following media expose of his illegal business using Chief Minister’s office and former Chief Secretary, Dam came out with another dirty plan through a powerful lobby of CPI-M.According to report, ahead of book fair, Jnan Bichitra has printed 31 books including a book authored by CPI-M party member who was also known to be a good friend of CPI-M cadre officer and former Bishalgarh BDO Bimal Chakraborty. To motivate Manik Sarkar, Dam published another book of a shallow brain officer of Sarkar’s office.Dam made instrumental, the party man and the officer to bring Manik Sarkar for his business promotion network in the name of formal book release program on Thursday evening in a city auditorium. Jnan Bichitra sources said Dam had distributed more than 500 invitation cards personally besides, using CPI-M party organs for his campaign stating that Manik Sarkar is gracing the occasion as Chief Guest and release the books in 250 seating capacity hall.
Using Chief Minister’s name he has invited several personalities of state administration and central government organisation who are working for CPI-M directly though Manik Sarkar did not accept Jnan Bichitra’s invitation.
Report claimed, since Manik Sarkar is now desperately trying to clean his image did not meet even with Dam couple neither in his office nor in his residence.
Finally, through the party man turns author (!) of a worthless book, accused of accumulating several development funds for individual interest and negotiating deals of private group and the various department through CPI-M trump card, Dam had able to approach Sarkar in the party office at Melarmath but Chief Minister rejected the invitation.
However, Dam couple as advice by the party cadre whose book also printed this time, invited so called science writers and promoters of scientific temperament aligned to CPI-M party stating that Manik Sarkar is coming in the book release program.
Hearing the name of Sarkar and re-association of Jnan Bichitra and Manik, there was a competition among the cunning government servants to share the dais with Manik Sarkar in Dam’s program to get an exchange of smile as blessing to continue their corrupt activities using the photo evidences with Sarkar in future.
Dam has spent more than Rs 10,000 in the program and almost all the opportunists and dubious characters attended the program well-ahead of the schedule.
But when at the last minutes they came to know Manik Sarkar is not joining many left the hall and even the guests in dais were also scene disappointed and angry with Dam.
It is evident that Manik Sarkar is always being trapped by the all opportunists in and outside the party through his better-half, an innocent simple woman.
To get entry to Manik, they spread the net by inviting his wife through some left identified brokers of both the gender in the city what exactly Dam couple did to get the manuscript in Manik Sarkar’s name last year.
The former Chief Secretary known to be a patroniser of Congress in his home state, BJP in Delhi and CPIM in Tripura, wanted to get the opportunity to earn money and get a tag of CPI-M loyalist in Tripura, mobilised some of close officers to write far distant stories of development.
After compilation, he edited the book and published it through Jnan Bichitra with the support of another tainted gang of opportunists – a conglomeration of criminal and cheater, Congress patroniser, CPI-M patroniser and BJP (Hindu) patroniser to squeeze crores of public money in different design for a decade.
Finally, with the approval of former Chief Secretary, Dam involved Chief Minister’s office for procurement of books authored by Manik Sarkar and allegedly put pressure on the administration to buy the books of CM and CS.
Mrs Ambalika Datta, an officer of school education department was succumbed to the pressure of Dam and his associates. She ordered all the schools to buy at least two copies of each book authored by CM Manik Sarkar and former CS S.K.Panda and published by Jnan Bichitra from Centrally sponsored Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan fund.
