KILLA/UDAIPUR, February 13 (TIWN): Day by day, as the TTAADC election approaches nearer INPT seems to be gaining momentum in the tribal belts after almost a decade with the demand for separate Twipraland is becoming stronger and stronger. And looking at the way INPT is now working in the TTAADC areas and the way many people attending their political rallies and programmes, political experts assume that INPT has already challenging the one sided supremacy of CPI(M) and Gana Mukti Parishad(GMP). Everyday INPT is holding programmes in the ADC areas and in each programmes the attendance of supporters are noteworthy. And as such CPI(M) has been forced to target the INPT calling them as the agents of the terrorists groups.

On Thursday INPT state youth President Subodh Jamatia warned the LF Govt saying ," On 14th February Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is arriving in the state and we will produce our demand for separate Twipraland explaining the Union Minister the reasons behind our demands. What CPI(M) is doing now going against the demand) is purely misleading the innocent tribal as and the non-tribals simply creating a panic ." Subodh Jamatia was addressing a political rally in Maithulung Bark area under Killa Block on Thursday afternoon soon after inaugurating INPTs local party office.

Throwing a sharp attack against the CPI(M) Subodh Jamatia said ," A panic is being intentionally created among the non-tribals as if the Twipraland will only be a state for the tribals. But this is not true. For many decades the tribals and the non-tribals in the state have been living in peace and amity and thus Twipraland too will be a land for all.Only it will be a separate state. And the demand for Twipraland is not at all unjust or wrong. It is within the Article 2 and 3 of the Constitution of India."
In an interesting way INPT raised a controversy blaming the LF Govt over its role on the Mizo refugees.  In front of a massive gathering in Maithulung Bari area Subodh Jamatia and IPFT Joint Secretary Bidyut Debbarma categorically said ," Mizo refugees are the original inhabitants of Tripura. Many years before they used to reside in Tirthamukh area. When the Dambur hydal project was built these Mizo people were dispensed from Tirthamukh  and the place was evacuated. As a result of this, the poor tribals of Tirthamukh were forced to go Mizoram and other places. But after suffering from ruthless tortures in Mizoram when these people are returning to the state , state govt is dealing with them in such a way as if they are from another planet."
INPT leaders reassured that the movement for separate state  will continue until the tribal people get their rights ( separate Twipraland ). And the tribal people too seem to be keen for Twipraland.
