Power disruption at AGMC, GB Hospital: negligence of administration left patients to suffer

AGARTALA, February 12 (TIWN): For at least an hour during the evening hours on Thrusday, a leading hospital of Agartala, GB Pant Hospital was in a state of near-emergency, with a power crisis.

Agartala GB Pant Hospital today suffered a power disruption for at least one hour, with the patients and their families to face acute discomfort.
The patients and their families were in a state of near-emergency situation. During the power crisis today the major departments of the hospital, like OT, Blood Bank, Gynecologist department, surgical ward, etc remained paralysed.
However, but such a worst condition that the Agartala GB pant hospital today faced had rose a serious question among the concerned administration. On the other the negligence of the administration today came under the limelight. Though of course this is nothing new for the common mass of the state as well as for the patients at the hospital here.
It is also to be mentioned here that not only the electricity but also the Agartala GB Pant hospital had always been in a bad shape, as it lacks proper drinking water facilities, leading the patients and their families to buy water from outside. Beside, the infrastructure inside the hospital remained in a worst condition as the walls at some parts of thehospital collapsed.
