Bike Accident Near Kamalasagar: One Seriously Injured

AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): A horrific bike accident occurred late Friday night near Kamalasagar's Bhadra Mela, leaving one youth seriously injured. The incident happened when two bikes collided head-on while four friends were returning home from the fair.
The injured youth, identified as Shuvradeep Sarkar from Madhupur's Bonkumar area, was rushed to Madhupur Hospital and later shifted to Hapaniya TMC Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. He is currently fighting for his life.
According to eyewitnesses, the bikes were traveling at high speed when they collided, causing Shubhradeep to fall off his bike and sustain severe head injuries. His condition remains critical.
The incident sparked outrage among locals and the victim's family, who questioned the role of Madhupur Hospital in providing timely medical care. Two of the four friends accompanying Shuvradeep fled the scene after taking him to the hospital.
Madhupur police have launched an investigation into the incident. With the Bhadra Mela still ongoing, locals fear more untoward incidents may occur if safety measures are not ensured.
