 More 8 fire service stations to be introduced: Minister Khagendra Jamatia replies to a written question of opposition bench

AGARTALA, February 10 (TIWN): During the current Financial year (FY) a new fire service station was made operational at Agartala Capital Complex, with more 8 fire service station to be set up soon here, replied Fire Minister Khogendra Jamatia to a written question of the opposition bench during the Day-2 assembly session. Beside on his reply Minister Jamatia said that the state govt. has a plan to modernise the existing fire stations across the state.

 On a written question of the opposition bench comprising of MLA Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Samir Deb Sarkar, MLA Jitendra Sarkar and MLA Monindra Chandra Das, Fire Minister Khogendra Jamatia replied that at present there are at least 36 fire service stations across the state, with the state govt. has a plan to introduce more 8 fire service stations here in Tripura. He replied the fire stations will be set up depending upon the current infrastructural and financial status of the state.

Adding to that Minister further mentioned that another new fire service station at Agartala Capital Complex was made operational during the current financial year.

Later replying to the written question of the opposition bench Minister Khogendra Jamatia mentioned the state govt. has recently taken a plan modernise the existing fire service stations across the state, with the introduction of one hydraulic platform fire vehicle that would help to fight fire on a multi-storeyed building.

Jamatia also mentioned that some new modernised tools and materials will also be brought soon to restrict fire in a better way.
