Agartala, February 10 (TIWN): Multicrore scam in different Government Offices once again reflected in the eyes of the common people of the State. Though, State Government tries to prove that although the claims and objections about recent scams is null and void.
But the recent data recorded by the State Home Department themselves in a written reply against the question raised by MLA Jitendra Sarkar shows that in the year 2013-13, 2013-14 and 2014-2015 (up to 31st January) is found to be 67. The detailed sketch of the year wise report was:
Financial Year |
Complaint registered |
2012-13 2013-14 2014-15 |
18 23 22 |
Total |
67 |
But still doubt prevailed among the people as the recent data reflected is right or not.
It is to be mentioned that during the recent years, To maintain the clean image of the so called Mr. clean Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in the eyes of the people of the state, after the allegation made by the political parties regarding the direct or indirect involvement of Chief Minister in the ongoing ';Statewide Scam Festival’ the CPI (M) and the Left Front Government will conduct protest rallies all over Tripura on 12 point charter demands.
A section of people are saying that the protest on 12 point charter demands is a pre-planned drama by the big heads of the Melarmath to divert the minds of the people from the recent scams and other issues like atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order and underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees.
However, is was seen that police were able to arrest Arnab Chakraborty the prime accused of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA) multicrore scam within four days from Kolkata after the FIR launched by the higher officials. It is to be mentioned here that, police were unable to arrest scamster Bimal Chakraborty the prime accused of Rs. 50 crore MGNREGA scam of Bishalghar RD Block. Why the police did not able to arrest Bimal while he was staying in one of his relative’s house at AD nagar, after the MGNREGA multicrore scam came to light. After a slumber of 34 days, the Bimal surrendered before the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court on October 23rd last.
Till now police are able to arrest only few persons involved in the MGNREGA multicrore scam and remaining nvolved persons are still at large.
Under constant protests against the ongoing 'Scams Festival' State Govtand the ruling party CPI (M) seems to have bowed down.
Though officially Chief Minister Manik Sarkar endpin(M) State Secretary Bijan Dhar have denied any involvement of CPI(M) party and its 'Brand man' Manik Sarkar in these scams or any of the accused persons, recent activities clearly send the message that StateGovt is highly concerned about all that are going on. Putting the blame on opposition and media and terming the discoveries of multirole scams in different departments as the effort of 'Imperialists' may give the ruling party and its so called 'Brand Manik' dividends in casting votes in the rural belts; But the power of truth is such that, someday it spills out spontaneously and no ruler however powerful cannot suppress truth.
