TBKU conducts triennial conference

Agartala, February 8 (TIWN): Tripura Bidyut Karmi Union (TBKU), zonal committee (middle) today conducted its second triennial conference at Bidyut Bhawan conference hall.

In his presidential address, Narayan Debnath said as many as 45646 power consumers exist under this zone. Altogether 3 sub stations (33-UKV), four call centers and 3 satellite power houses are there in this zone, said Debnath.
 
Admitting the severe dearth of staffs, he further said, “As many as 500 helpers are likely to be recruited soon. Following it, the administrative process has already been started.”
 
Explaining the achievements of the committee, “Altogether 169 kms HT line, 304 kms LT line and 395 kms DT lines were set up recently. A total of Rs. 50, 60, 02, 000 was collected against the revenue target of Rs 70, 35, 88, 000 under this zone. As many as 24 new power sub divisions, 4 divisions and 4 circle offices were established to extend the power services under the power corporation”, said key speaker of the conference- Subhash Debbarma.
 
With the introduction of modern billing system, power service to the consumers has been developed across the middle zone, he claimed.
 
Explaining the zone committee’s (middle) strength, he further said a total of 184 members exist including 18 women and 34 Scheduled Tribes.
 
The triennial conference was inaugurated by the Subhash Saha while Sajal Chandra Dey graced the dais as special guest.
