AGARTALA, Dec 2 (TIWN): Amid TET qualifiers on the road, protesting to get appointed, government schools are reeling under teachers’ shortage. Due to teacher shortage, studies are affected in various schools in the state. The Charpara 12th grade school in Badharghat has informed the local MLA about the teacher shortage issue, but no improvement was seen in the situation even after pleading with the legislator.
“We need English teacher urgently. Also, the commerce teacher is irregular because of other duties given to him. We already approached the local authority and they are trying to appoint more teachers in the school,” said school-in charge.
Tripura cabinet on Thursday approved over a thousand posts in the Education department.
“We need special educators in the Vidyajoti schools affiliated with the CBSE. For that new posts have been approved by the cabinet. The special teachers will be recruited under a fixed-pay scale,” said Chowdhury.
In this regard, the Minister told the media, “For GT/PGT 1566 posts have been approved on Wednesday.”
On the other hand, 2022’s TET qualifiers have been seeking jobs since they passed TET.
On November 24, the TET-qualified unemployed youths gheraoed CM’s residence to meet him but each of the agitators were arrested by police to vacate the residential area.
