AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, February 7 (TIWN): Defense Secretary R.K.Mathur arrived today by a special Indian Air force plane at Agartala airport around 9.30 AM. Defence Secretary visted the location at Lambucherra and Bodhjungnagar outskirt of Agartala provided by state government for shifting the Assam Rifles sector office located at Buddha Mandir, heart of the capital. It may be recalled that state government has been demanding since long time that Assam Rifles vacate the area and hand over it to the government. CM Manik Sarkar included the issue of handing over of Assam Rifles ground to State Govt in his letter to PM Modi during PM's Agartala visit . Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's plan of converting every open space of Agartala into concrete structures only fueled by the sole desire to create more wealth for ruling party fund and contractors. Chief Minister's letter to Prime Minister Modi to hand over 115.70 acres of Assam Rifles defence land to construct a modern sports complex, stadium only justifies the nefarious plans of State Govt.

The defense secretary also met Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at State Secretariet and discussed on Assam Rifles land.

Building more stadiums, concrete structures certainly gets higher precedence of Left Front Govt led by CM Manik Sarkar. When Tripura's health care biting dust, patients are dying on floors of Agartala's GBP Hospital to Gandacherra's health care centres, but LF Govt is more interested to construct massive stadiums rather than bare necessity hospitals.

Fact is, massive constructions of stadiums always fetch multifold benefits to ruling party as contractors  supplying construction materials can pocket crores and enrich CPIM party fund. After construction of  a stadium, rather than sports persons, it becomes another playground of politicians as endless rallies destroy the ground within no time. For example newly constructed Vivekananda Maidan (former Astabal ground) was used for more political gatherings rather than sports events, endless political rallies destroyed the ground.

CM feels extremely unhappy about the serene greenary of Assam Rifles complex which was beautifully  developed over the six decades by Army.

Not only  that, the presence of Assam Rifles always kept Agartala heavily secured as hardly anyone can trust on Police.

CM's hungry eyes only concerned about the cash generation for party, helping corrupt contractors, destroying lush green 115.70 acres land into a concrete desert so that more political rallies can be held.

Digging Swami Vivekananda Stadium (Astabal Maidan)for political rallies. Pupose of stadiums 99% is for Political rallies, 1% for Sports

Political rallies can be organized outskirts of Agartala in empty grounds but Polical masters always prefer to organize events in the heart of city , destroying playgrounds, causing enormous inconvenience to people.
