AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): As the world is rapidly changing and advancing towards a tech-savvy era, Tripura TITs have hardly any opportunity to take the students up to that level. To mitigate the gaps between generations government decided to sign agreements with TATA Tech Lmt so that Tripura students can absorb the technical things which are crucial for entering today’s job market. The TATA during its 5 years tenure would also train the teachers as they too need to develop many areas. CM said, that after such training, TATA would absorb the talents from here, and also TATA has its expansion in various places, which would give opportunity to the students to work abroad.
CM told media that 86% of the cost would be carried out by TATA which needs Rs. 570 crores whereas 14% cost that would be expensed by the Tripura government would need Rs. 112 crores.
Apart from that there would be infrastructure development in 13,400 s/f which would take the total budget over Rs. 792 crores.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that no state should lag in development and this move would help the state Tripura also to advance into the tech industrialized world where Tripura’s children would shine high,” added CM.
