AGARTALA, February 6 (TIWN): The Political parties here in Tripura have started campaigning for the autonomous district council (ADC) elections making an attack on the BJP govt. ahead of the election for making a remark “North East immigrants”. The ADC elections are scheduled between the last week of April and the first week of May. As part of the preparations, when the Tripura CPI(M) is organising conferences of its lower units in the run-up to its 21st state conference in February 2015, the Pradesh here in Tripura has also geared up for the ADC election with the Congress Chief Birajit Sinha busy reforming the party from the grass root level.

The newly reshuffled Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee has geared up for the upcoming ADC election scheduled to be held on the month of May or the last week of April. TPCC President Birajit Sinha has visited the South and the North district of the state ahead of the poll. But a section of the leaders of main opposition party of Tripura- Congress are reportedly busy in internal war with no election strategy.

“I am trying to overcome from the undesirable status of the recent Congress party”, said Sinha recently. And this has clearly indicated that the congress might face another setback during the upcoming election here in Tripura. The congress party in Tripura has faced serious downfall in the bygone Lok-Sabha and Assembly elections.
"My primary duty is to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level and bring back the Congress leaders who left Congress and joined other parties in past two years. My efforts will be to unite Congress to defeat CPI-M in Tripura," Sinha said. However, to mention here the time might not come ever for the Pradesh congress here in Tripura, because the so called internal cold war among the congress leaders still prevails here in the state.
Beside it is also mentionable here that ahead of the ADC election  the political parties here in Tripura along with the other North Eastern states has stood up with its massive protests against the BJP’s recent remark “North East immigrants”. Though, the BJP state committee here in Tripura has made an easy excuse saying it to be just a mistake.
However it’s a time now to witness how the opposition here in Tripura brings an alternative to the state during the upcoming election with the congress busy reforming its party from the grass root level and the BJP facing a sketchy attack for its remark on the North East’s people.
