The thief has been identified as Kalu Das, resident of Agartala, near Ramkrishna Mission.

A patient party from Nandan Nagar named Debanjan Debnath who brought his friend to the hospital who broke his leg first detected the thief after he took away his cell phone.

When he rushed behind the thief, a security guard was successful in catching the thief. The thief dropped the cellphone immediately to show he was not holding the phone.

The accused said, he did not steal anything and he himself is a patient.

He was later handedover to police.
