Rajeev Deb is a government servant and works in court, resident of Sonamura Rabindranagar. Poonam Majumder's original house is in Udaipur.

Poonam's mother complained that after the marriage, Rajeev Deb's family demands increased. Since the son is a government employee, they used to make many demands and tortured her often.

Poonam has a two-and-a-half-year-old son.

Poonam died by poisoning. Her body was sent for post mortem.

After her death, family members accused her husband and in-laws of forcing her to commit suicide.
